Tip of the month Sent in by Sharon (BelltownBeads.etsy.com)
"My neighbor hosts a weekend open house every Novemeber right before Thanksgiving. She allots us all a space and manages all of the receipts. We all invite friends, neighbors and co-workers. It's a nice way to see everyone and get exposure to many folks. Thanks Sharon. What a fab way to take the open house idea even further! What's new at craft-selling-parties.com
This month's feature article is by Lorri Ely of www.Making-Jewelry.com - although it is written for jewelry makers, it could easily be adapted for any craft that doesn't take too long, or just to add some personal finishing touches to your items.

Craft website of the month While we're on the subject of jewellery... here's another great website to take a look at! I know my subscribers come from all over, so I'm thrilled to be able to recommend a beadstore that provides great service internationally. I've recently placed a couple of orders with Artbeads.com and have been very impressed with the selection and the service. If you live in the US, you get free shipping (I'm sooo jealous) - but postage worldwide is also very reasonable. My orders were shipped very quickly, and both times arrived in the UK in less than a week - that's quicker than some local suppliers here. Postage was only $10, and I saved a lot on sterling findings. Tip: if you live in the UK and are worried about customs charges, keep your order under £18 to be on the safe side. So wherever you're from, take a look - they have gemstones, pearls, sterling silver, hill tribe silver, bali beads, Swarovski crystal, and more - in fact just about everything a bead addict needs! And it comes prettily packaged too...
If you know of a website that would appeal to my readers, please let me know about it here.
