  • Tip of the month

Last month I wrote an article about setting goals for your business. This month, I'm going to suggest that you keep an open mind regarding the directions your craft business takes!

This isn't a contradiction - it's just that the way your business grows won't always be straightforward, and you may take several detours along the way which open up new opportunities. Keep your overall goals in mind, focus on the steps you're taking towards those goals, but don't shut yourself off to new possibilities.

For instance you may decide to focus on craft parties for kids, but get requests for adult parties - give it a try! You may find you prefer it, or it may just prove to be a good opportunity to advertise your childrens parties to mums attending. If you don't enjoy it, don't pursue it, but at least give it a try!

We all know the handmade craft market is becoming more crowded these days.
