I know from the emails you all send me that there are many of you who are already running successful craft home party businesses. It would really encourage other readers to hear about your experiences, so please write and tell us about them.

If you're chosen to feature in either the website or newsletter, you'll receive a free link to your website!

There are several different ways you can contribute:

    1. Tip of the month - Send in a tip that you think other readers would find useful, and you could be chosen for this newsletter's tip of the month.

    2. Website article - You can contribute a page to the website if you have some relevant information or advice to share with us. Your article will include a short bio about you, as well as a link to your website, so it's a great way to get exposure for yourself.

    3. Featured article - Some of the articles written for the website will also be chosen as the feature article for this newsletter, so you'll get double exposure!

    4. Success Stories - There is also a section on the website featuring Success Stories from everyday people who have started selling their crafts at home parties. Just send in your story - it doesn't matter how long or short it is, the aim is just to show others that it's possible!

    Craft resource of the month

    Site Build It!

I received an email from one of my subscribers this month asking me whether I'd recommend Site Build It!, which is what I have used to create and maintain Craft-Selling-Parties.com. As my reply was a resounding "Yes!" I thought perhaps I should share my enthusiasm with the rest of you too...

I'm not a technophobe, but neither am I a techie, and when I created this website I wanted to focus on making it useful and accessible, rather than spending all my time battling with html and search engine optimisation. Site Build It! has made that really easy, and in the year that Craft-Selling-Parties.com has been up and running it has become more popular than I'd ever hoped, and this newsletter now has over 450 subcribers. And despite being an information website, rather than an e-commerce site, it has paid for itself and made a nice little profit as well.

I have created other websites using much cheaper systems, but none of them have been very successful. And so I've now invested in a second Site Build It! website to promote my bridal jewellery properly. I'll let you know when it's up and running!

If you are thinking of building a website as more than just a brochure/showcase for your crafts, then I'd definitely recommend you take a look at Site Build It!

If you know of a useful website or resource that would appeal to my readers, please let me know about it here.
