Best Selling Crafts for Home Parties
As mentioned before, the best selling crafts at home parties tend not to be too large and expensive. However take this as a guide, not a rule. And of course, the less expensive the item, the more you need to sell to make it a worthwhile party. In general, items that appeal to women sell best at home parties, as most guests tend to be female. This doesn’t mean the products have to be for women, just that women would buy them. It’s an added benefit if you can make your crafts reasonably quickly, so that you can hold regular parties, and also so that custom orders can be delivered in a shorter timeframe (we all want our purchases as soon as possible!) But ultimately, the best selling crafts will be those that are of high quality. Here are some ideas of crafts you could sell at home parties: -
jewellery
& beaded gifts
- paper crafts e.g.
greeting cards,
notebooks, gift boxes & bags
- knitted items
- crochet items
- purses, handbags and other accessories
- small woodwork items e.g. children's toys, boxes, home decor objects
- small metalwork items e.g. candle holders
- gourd art and crafted gourds e.g.
gourd bird houses, gourd bowls
- soaps, bath and skin products
- soft furnishings e.g. cushions, quilts
- clothing e.g. baby or kids’ clothes, scarves, jumpers
- teddy bears
- dolls
- dolls houses
- products for pets, e.g. collars, bowls
- pottery
- glassware
- candles
- gift baskets
- signs e.g. garden signs, door signs, name plaques
Jewellery home parties work particularly well as you can command high prices without lugging big heavy products around! And it's easy to create small inexpensive items too (like keyrings or mobile phone charms), as add-ons or for those guests who can only afford to spend a little. This list is not exhaustive, and as I obviously haven't personally tried selling each and every one of these, I can't guarantee that they are all best selling crafts. But I hope it does give you some idea of what could work.
