Home Party Presentation or Demonstration

A home party presentation or demonstration is the style most party plan companies use, e.g. Pampered Chef, Virgin Vie, PartyLite, etc.

Guests arrive at a certain time and are then introduced to the products by means of a presentation or demonstration.

lotion This type of party is good for products that need some explanation and benefit from being demonstrated. For example a 'spa' style party is great for people to try out your handmade soaps or bath products, while you explain the benefits.

Or if you make gift baskets or hampers, doing a presentation allows you to point out exactly what they contain and what extra items you can add.

Handmade children's toys or baby products will also suit a home party presentation, as it gives you the opportunity to point out the benefits of your handmade products over low cost inferior ones.

It would also work well for mohair teddy crafters, as you'd want to point out the quality materials that you've used in your hand made teddy bears in order that they're not confused with those that are cheaply mass produced.

It's up to you whether you sell your items at the party, or just take orders to be delivered later. If you only have enough inventory to use as samples, then this is a good style of party to use - you can also use your presentation to explain how the order process will work.

You can also use games to get your guests in the party mood and to showcase your products, but I would only recommend this if you're very comfortable with it, as it could turn out to be a real damp squib otherwise! There is usually still a fair amount of presentation involved, but using lots of games to keep guests involved. Your products will usually be the prizes.

Of course you can use just one game as an ice breaker and to get guests' attention before you start your home party presentation, so adapt this style to suit yourself.

Suits: someone comfortable talking in front of groups, someone who is passionate about the benefits of using their products.
