Jewelry parties are a lot of fun and I have found that my most successful parties are when I bring my bead box, jewelry findings, and jewelry pliers along with me and make jewelry for customers "on the spot" right during the party.

People have so much fun picking out their own beads and having me design something special just for them, and because most jewelry can be completed in minutes, I have the piece completed for them and ready to take home. This concept makes for a really exciting party where people get involved in the design process.

Usually, every single person at these parties makes a purchase because it is just too tempting not to! Just be prepared to work all night because you’ll have people crowded around your table and you won’t have much time to party yourself.

Want to try this party concept yourself? Here’s what you’ll need for a successful party:

• Send a good party invitation that tells people you will be making jewelry "while they wait"
• A bead box to hold a good selection of beads and findings. I sort my beads by color
• Set of jewelry pliers and flush cutters
• Measuring tape or ruler
• A table with good lighting, and something to cover and protect the table
• A trash can
