Hold a Theme Party!

Sometimes the season, a big event or even just something close to your heart warrants a theme party. Themed home parties are fun to host and usually everyone will really get into the spirit of things - which means your sales should soar!

You can have a great time organising everything to fit the theme, including the invitations, food and decorations, as well as your crafts. Pay attention to details and your party will be fab!

Theme parties are great if you need to launch your craft home parties, as they give you the perfect excuse to host one of your own to kickstart your home party business. They're also terrific for boosting your business when bookings slow down or for anytime you really want to step things up a bit. But you don't need a reason to host a themed party - the theme itself is justification enough!

If you're doing children's craft parties then you could also offer themes to make it even more unique and special. Relating the children's crafts to a princess or pirate theme party is definitely going to win you some brownie points.

Big Event Celebrations

Theme party ideas to celebrate big events are a great idea. You know the type - everyone's talking about it and watching it on TV, and they're usually sport or entertainment related. Examples are:

• World Cup sports events - World Cup Soccer, Rugby or whatever (or do an 'anti-football' party for the fed up wives and girlfriends!)
• The Olympics
• The Oscars
• The Grammy's

You can even design a special range of crafts to celebrate the event if you like!

General Party Themes

Anything goes - these are just for fun! If you can choose themed party ideas that complement your craft, then so much the better, but if not the decorations and refreshments will do the job. Examples of themed party ideas are:

• Pirate theme party - great if you make jewelry boxes or wooden chests! Or showcase your handmade jewelry as the looted treasure.
• Beach theme party - great for the summer.
• Disco party theme - you'll get to play all your tackiest music and no one will laugh at you... Mirror ball is obligatory.
• Hollywood or movie party theme - especially good for showing off bling!
• Colour party theme - black and white, pink and purple, or whatever works for you.
• 50s, 60s, 70s or 80s party theme - those were the days...
